We are looking for a store manager for the flagship store in Berlin

Are you driven by sales, customer care, are hands on and see opportunities in the constant change in the Retail industry? This is the position for you.

As a store manager in Berlin you will take care of Sandqvist only store in Germany, a key part of Sandqvist growing business in Germany. You will work both on your own and in a smaller team which you will manage and recruit to. Except for your team in store you will also work closely in a team of 6 store managers all over Europe and report to the Retail manager managing all stores.

JOB DESCRIPTION, STORE MANAGER FULL TIME

  • Budget responsibility for the Berlin store and reporting to Retail manager
  • Work for a profitable store by strategic planning with sales and staff
  • Manage team; recruiting, planning and training following Sandqvist standards for customer Service
  • Provide exceptional product and material knowledge to both customers and staff
  • Work closely with Sandqvist VM department to keep the utmost perfect visual display by Sandqvist guidelines
  • Manage the local customer service enquiries connected to repairs and claims and report to Retail manager
  • Create an inspiring and positive atmosphere for all customers. Ensuring Sandqvist’s brand image is maintained at all times through considered visual merchandising, general upkeep and maintenance of the store.

  • Manage and be instrumental in creating brand appropriate store events for the Berlin store in line with the brand’s global marketing communications.


WE ARE SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

  • The ideal candidate has previous experience as a store manager or have held a position in a senior management role.
  • You have managed a team of at least 3 employees before and have knowledge of the German labor law.
  • Previous experience dealing with day-to-day retail operations on a management level. 

  • You are positive, sales oriented, and customer service focused with the drive to provide the highest quality shopping experience.
  • You are willing to be an exceptional brand ambassador, possessing the ability to convey the Sandqvist ethos through all interactions with both staff and customers. 

  • An understanding of Sandqvist as a brand and its standing on the Germany market and in Europe.
  • You are skilled in the needed budget work and the profitability planning necessary 


  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to report sales activities effectively
  • You speak German and English fluently, more languages are meritorious
