Sandqvist was founded in 2004 by three childhood friends, Anton, Daniel and Sebastian, in Stockholm. As people who split their time between the city and the forest, they could not find bags that worked in both worlds. Most options were either too technical or too polished, so they decided to make their own. From the beginning, the idea was simple: create bags with useful features and a clean, minimalist look, using better materials and a more responsible way of producing them.
What started as a small project among friends has grown into an international brand, but the starting point is still the same. Every bag should feel at home on a crowded metro platform, on a forest trail and everywhere in between.
Our design language is rooted in Scandinavian clarity. We focus on simple shapes, balanced proportions and small details that make a real difference when you use the bag every day. Behind every bag is a long process of testing, refining and improving. We work closely with selected factories and partners and place high demands on working conditions and quality. Before a bag reaches you, it has been worn, adjusted and tested in real life. We carry our prototypes on bikes through Stockholm, on trains, planes and forest paths to make sure they live up to our standards. Only then do they become part of the collection.
